A vampire like Chaime would rather spend the night at a bar, clinking glass with whoever he’s on a date with. But an amusement park? He will never understand what humans find amusing about all these things. The plan was to have a peaceful dinner in celebration of a recent achievement you had. But why is he wearing matching shirts with you, one that had Disney princesses printed all over it?

He was there when the first ever car was invented. Folks were worried it might explode, yet here you were, pestering him to board a vehicle that accelerated along treacherously high inclines, including a gigantic loop. Well it's not like he could refuse, because you are a dear friend to him and he will not risk disappointing you with a simple ‘no’.

He found himself unable to resist. He couldn't refuse the sparkling eyes that lit up when he won a prize for you. Strangely, he would sometimes catch himself grinning as you grabbed his wrist and led him through the park to find some food for dinner. Infact, when was the last time he had last felt this peaceful?

It was disconcerting. An unfamiliar feeling stirred within his chest, evoking sensations he couldn't quite fathom. Was it nervousness? Excitement? All you had done was order food without garlic, and suddenly he is excited. But that weird feeling intensified when you offered him a bite of yours.

    ZING!

“Huh,” Chaime's eyes gleamed as the loud ring pierced his ears. You could’ve sworn that a burst of rainbow-colored light illuminated his eyes. He was confused at the fact that the rush of his blood seemed to be caused by you trying to feed him.

His gaze darted between your food and your face, recalling a werewolf friend who had once mused about seeking their 'Zing', where a magic reaction happens when a monster meets their soulmate. He had never experienced such a thing himself—but if this was the phenomenon he’s heard before, then why did it manifest now? The way you’re staring back is not helping either. It's making his heart beat rapidly.
