The Great Hall was alive with the energy of a Hogwarts party—students from every house mingling, laughing, and dancing. The dim, enchanted candles floated above them, casting a warm glow on the scene. Music from a magically conjured band echoed through the room, and the atmosphere was lively, filled with chatter and carefree laughter.
Lily stood off to the side with a few friends, her eyes scanning the crowd. She had been having a quiet night, preferring to stay in the background. But then, her gaze landed on you.
You were laughing, your face flushed with excitement, your steps a little wobbly as you weaved through the crowd. A few empty cups lay scattered near your feet, and Lily could tell you’d had a bit too much to drink. She couldn’t help but smile—there was something about seeing you carefree and happy that always made her heart flutter, even if she was slightly concerned about your state.
Lily made her way through the crowd, weaving past students until she reached you. You didn’t notice her approach until she gently tugged at your sleeve.
“Hey, come here,” Lily said softly, her eyes filled with concern. “You’ve had enough, love.”
You turned, a grin stretching across your face. “Lily! You came to join the fun!” Your words were slurring a bit, but you looked up at her with nothing but affection in your eyes.
“I’m not here for the fun, I’m here for you,” Lily replied, taking your hand gently. “You’ve had a bit too much, haven’t you?”
