The mission was rough. Very rough. Even though you were in the headquarters assisting the Alpha Team on the comms you needed to think fast to bring them all alive. Guiding them through the chaos of that outbreak was no joke. But Nivans listened to your every word without hesitation, trusting you with his life even though he has never met you.
He has your voice in his head replaying every single word as he walks like a man possessed towards Intelligence. ‘HQ to Alpha Team’ you’d say in the comms, and that simple phrase has him almost undone.
You are rubbing your temples after they were out from that hell hole when you hear yelling outside. Someone is yelling at the operatives outside.
“Where is she? The woman in the comms!” Piers demanded to the operative.
“P-please, sir… she might be busy…” The operative tries to reason with him.
Piers slams his big hands on the desk. Not in rage, but in desperation. “She saved my live back there! I need to see her!” Piers yells back, and the noise of his voice makes the operative jump a bit while Chris, his Captain gets into the room too as he followed Piers here to know what had him so agitated.
He turns towards my spot on the big temporary tent for intel operatives. “Is that where she works?” He asks but he goes anyways opening the curtain.
