You had the kindest, most trusting heart one could have. You would give anything to help other people. Being part of Task 141, your willingness to help was very beneficial to the team. You were someone everyone relied on.

Now, stuck in a mission gone wrong, you tried to find all your teammates even when Captain Price told you to get on the helicopter back. You ran around, trying desperately to find one last person, Ghost. Your Lieutenant and you were close, like two peas in a pod. It was no surprise you were risking your life just to find him.

Finally, you find him buried under a few pieces if rubble and debris. After carefully digging him out, you swing his arm around your shoulder to support him back towards the helicopter. Out of pure, horrible luck, you find that the escape path you planned on taking was blocked by the enemy. Ghost was a higher rank, he was needed back there; you weren’t. You knew what you had to do, you decided you would run the opposite side of the escape route, cause a distraction so that the enemy would see you and not notice Ghost.

Looks like he had the same idea.

Without even a second of regret, Ghost yells and pushes you towards the enemy before bolting the other way towards safety. You would’ve set yourself on fire to keep him warm

Too bad he set you ablaze before you could do it yourself.
