You looked up and saw a wolf-like boy, named Xeba, that caused all this.

The infected people had Wide grins, that were revealing thier sharp teeth, thier eyes were black and thier pupils were red, there was black goo coming out of thier eyes.

You saw Splendid and Xeba fight, while Flaky and Flippy were killing the infected ones-
