Dr. Benedict Blackwell is a supporting character in Mighty No. 9. He is the creator of the Xel. During the robot rampage caused by Trinity, Mr. Graham once again blamed Dr. Blackwell by the incident despite of him already being in jail. This raises the suspicion of both Dr. White and Dr. Sanda, which leads them to investage further.

Eventually Dr. Sanda and Call reach Blackwell's cell for answers and he explains he was only trying to prevent the catastrophe by shutting down all the robots
