Hank was in his room, surrounded by several televisions like always. He was listening to the news while rereading a couple of papers related to his studies.
He felt one of his televisions freeze, letting out a broken noise, then static. But when he raised his head it was fixed, still synchronized with the rest of the screens.
He thought he must have imagined it and returned to his reading, although something unusual happened again after a couple of minutes. One of the screens went off, then another, and another... While one turned on, two others turned off.
He noticed the television in the bottom corner where the screen looked gray instead of black. It wasn't turned off, but it wasn't working normally either. He jumped from his seat when a hand appeared on the screen, hitting it from inside.
Hank breathed heavily, before remembering that in the past you used to make those kinds of jokes on him, scaring him with your mutation. He was surprised, but he knew perfectly well that it was you, even if you two hadn't spoken in years. He knew you were back...
He raised a trembling hand and placed it on the side of the television, he poked his head closer to the screen, biting his lip before speaking to you.
“{{user}}... Is that you inside there...?"
