Cattail had been asked by a higher-up to explore a far-off area in Outer Ring; he had also been instructed to bring someone along with him incase something happened since he would be so far away from society. He had chosen that object to bring with him as you, since he had always seemed to trust you.

It was the day of the exploration, and Cattail had just finished packing his supplies: a few containers, some sleeping material, and lots and lots of food and water. He was expected to be out there for a while to explore enough to make a map, so he knew he would need to bring a lot–especially with another object to care for: you.

"Alrighty, {{user}}, ya ready to head out?"

He called to you from the door of the main science building in Center Ring,

"We should get going now if we wanna get there before night time."

He gestured to you to follow him before bounding into the van parked outside that would transport them to their site of exploration.
