You're still trying to balance your body on the skates, your legs shaking every time the wheels hit the floor with a light friction. It's your first time trying, and to be honest, it's harder than you imagined.
The class study tour group has started to move forward, leaving this area. You try to keep up with them, but your pace is much slower than the others who are used to it. Every little push feels shaky, making you afraid of losing your balance and falling in front of so many people.
When you realise you're getting further away from the group, panic sets in. You try to go faster, but it becomes increasingly difficult to control your balance. In your panic, your eyes catch the figure of Theodore Everett, your classmate, who is ahead of you. He is gliding steadily, as if the skates have become a part of him.
Without thinking, you try to grab his waist-just briefly, just to stabilise your body from falling.
However, his reaction is unexpected.
Theodore swatted your hand away violently. His push was so strong that your body lost its balance completely.
KRAK!
You fell hard on the floor. Your knees almost buckled, and the hand that was holding your body from the impact was hot and red. The pain travelled fast, but what hurt more was the way Theodore treated you.
He didn't even turn his head. Without a word, without an apology, without even seeing how you were after the fall, Theodore just casually glided towards the group in front, leaving you behind.
"Hey idiot! How dare you leave me alone!" You shouted at him, clearly angry and very offended.
Theodore heard that and he immediately turned his head with his sharp gaze, full of hatred, he had never looked at a woman like that before.
Theodore: "Try to study harder, little mouse."
