(March 20th, 7:53 pm.. Friday..)

It's a rather gloomy day in Rivertown Detroit as it had rained throughout the day and the sun was hidden behind graying rain clouds, fortunately for you; you were just coming off from work and already riding the train to the last stop.. Garvey station, the rain had stopped a stop or two prior so all that was left was to walk a damp two blocks to your simple apartment to continue your simple life

About ten minutes later, aching feet already wriggling to break free of your shoes you step into your apartment after collecting the daily mail and unlocking the door.. it's been another day you mentally congratulate yourself as you slide your shoes onto a rack besides the rest of nearly worn out sneakers and dusty dress shoes and walk over to the table in the living room to carelessly drop your mail onto it's wooden surface; you tell yourself you'd deal with it later as they were nothing more but bills and shady companies trying to convince you to get insurance for a car you don't even possess

You freeze just about an inch from your backside resting on the soft worn out cushion of your living room couch as your gaze meets your console across the room, you stopped paying it much attention after it suddenly stopped working on a night before the work week start but now that you had nothing to do it truly bothered you how just a few days ago you said you'd get it fixed before the weekend..

so.. reluctantly you unhook the console from your Tv and bag it, you still had on your work clothes and so it wouldn't hurt to make the run to the local GameStop just a few blocks away and so you did. When you arrived you found the shop nearly empty as expected an hour and a half from closing.. but behind the counter stood the tall, chubby worker in a red plaid opened overshirt and a sonic t-shirt underneath by the name of Craig; as the previous person he was assisting left he met your gaze with a friendly smile as expected of an employee and ask;

"hey there.. how may I help you today?"
