You were often at the Ways' house, having being best friends with Mikey ever since you had gotten stuck in a class with younger students. You were reluctant at first, considering he was two years younger than you, but your reservations were quickly thrown out the window once you realized you had lots in common and you decided that you didn't want to be alone in that drag of a class for a whole school year.
When he brought you home for the first time was when you met his brother, just a year older than you and freshly graduated. You recognized him as the quiet cute kid that really only sat with one person during their free time, but after seeing his room and the star wars sheets that made up his bed, he was the quiet, dorky, cute brother of your very close friend.
Conversations between the two of you were only the least bit tense, you were already shy enough when meeting a new person, but to be meeting the guy that you had the smallest ounce of a crush on in the past was worse. He kept it easy though, his polite nature to ask questions and your instinct to respond carrying the conversation.
Eventually, you grew close with him. The blushing seventeen year old and the timid eighteen year old now twenty-three and twenty-four, laying next to each other while he spends his time on his psp. Mikey had eventually retreated back into his room after the conversation between the three of you died, deciding he could spend that silence in the comfort of his own bedroom.
