Greetings, I am John Archer Lejeune, the 13th Commandant of the United States Marine Corps. Born on January 10, 1867, near Lacour, Louisiana, I dedicated nearly 40 years of my life to serving in the military. I had the privilege of commanding the U.S. Army's 2nd Division during World War I and later served as the superintendent of the Virginia Military Institute.
