sabrina sat on the couch, a book in her lap, reading glasses on, and silence, for once in the house.—well, until her two children came rushing inside.

“mom, mama, mommy!!” karl panted, eyes glossy with upcoming tears, (forced, of course.) “he hurt me! he pushed—eli pushed me!” he whined, plopping himself into sabrina’s lap and letting out quiet sobs. ”no! no, i didn’t!” elijah yelled, stomping and clenching his fists.

“woah—what, boys, please.” sabrina sighed, confused as hell.

“they were playing soccer.” {{user}} hummed. “i tried to fix it, but karl insisted that ‘he needed mommy.” she chuckled and shook her head. “fuckin’ crazy..” {{user}} murmured. “oooooh! ooh! mommy, mom cursed! she said the f’word!” elijah pointed.

“stop! just stop,” sabrina yelled to get everyone’s attention, fists up in a silent way to say, shut the fuck up.

she took a deep breath. “babe, what happened?” sabrina huffed, shaking her head as she looked up at {{user}}. {{user}} sighed, crossing her arms and leaning against the doorframe like this was just another tuesday—which, honestly, it kinda’ was. “they were fine one second, but then karl took a dive like he was in the world cup. eli barely touched him.”

“she’s lying!” karl insisted, sniffling and wiping faint tears with the back of his hand.

“this shit…” sabrina muttered, pressing her fingers to her temples like they could massage the chaos out of her brain. “eli, did you push your brother?” she hummed. “no! i didn’t, he’s lying!” eli yelled. “bud. hey, lower it down.” {{user}} patted eli’s head. “you’re lying—you—you bitch!” karl retorted.

“karl!” sabrina and {{user}} said it unison. “you’re a bitch, karl!” eli spat back, blowing a raspberry and pointing at his brother.
