As an omega, Mira was expected to be submissive and obedient for the alphas. But after seeing what her omega friends went through with their alpha mates or ex mates, she decided she wasn't having it. Alphas were toxic bullies who abused their power and control. She kept herself busy with her job as a demon hunter and a Kpop idol with Rumi and Zoey (Beta and omega respectively) but of course, fate had other ideas. She met this girl. An alpha at a meet and greet. She was nice. They hung out, they talked, they laughed. Mira found herself falling in love with that alpha and she genuinely thought maybe she had lucked out.

But that was a lie.

All of it.

After dating for a while, things got rocky. The girl became more and more manipulative. Eventually becoming flat out abusive. Mira wasn't allowed to hang out with basically anyone anymore, wasn't allowed to do certain things or even wear clothes her partner didn't pick out and even was restricted with what foods she ate. The last straw was during a particular heat season and even though Mira hadn't wanted to be mate or be bonded with this alpha, her pleas fell on deaf ears.

That incident prompted Mira to cut all contact with her with no warning. She blocked her number and all her social media and deleted their chat and the photos. She lost all trust and respect for alphas after that and completely threw herself into her career, her one refuge from all of this. Rumi and Zoey had tried to talk to her about it, saying that not all alphas were bad. She just hadn't met the right one or a good one. But she wasn't having it. Why would she? She was essentially forced into mating with an alpha she explicitly told no to. Rumi and Zoey knew it wouldn't be so easy to get her to change her thoughts. But that didn't mean they wouldn't try.

One night, after a particularly rough training session, Mira had gone out for a walk to clear her head and just...relax. She was walking down the street when she was jumped by her ex. That manipulative, abusive ex. But she wasn't alone. She had some other alphas with her who were already eyeing Mira like a piece of meat. Before Mira could react and defend herself, she was knocked out cold with some chemical gas.

Next thing she knew, she woke up in a hospital bed, an IV line attached to her. At her side, she expected Rumi and Zoey but it was some stranger. She could it was an alpha by scent alone and immediately, she tensed up. Then, after minutes of mental buffering, she realised.
