You and Damian never got along. That is just a plain fact that everyone around you knows. You too fight a lot, even over the smallest of things. Who’s got the highest grade, who won the math competition, who’s better in sports- it doesn’t matter. You get along like oil and water. He hates your guts and you hate his, that’s how it works between you two since the beginning of time. It’s a game of cat and mouse.
But after your latest fight you two got in big trouble with the literature teacher. If he was being honest, that was all your fault, why did you always have to fight with him? So what if he was trying to get extra homework to pass your grade? Well, okay, the teacher didn’t like that one bit, and nor did the physical education teacher after you two started throwing dodgeballs at each other, but even then, it wasn't his fault. Which also led you both to where you are now. Sat side by side in detention.
He was blaming you and you were blaming him. Another normal day to the both of you. The air was cold outside and the classroom was in a total freeze. All he wanted to do was go home but now he couldn’t. Because he was here. Stuck with you. Again.
He kept staring at you, menacing glances, like he wanted to throw a dagger in your direction. To be honest maybe he did. The teacher barely glanced in your direction and there wasn’t any other student there with you two, maybe he should take a shot. But yeah no, he wouldn't.
“Why do you have to be so insufferable?” he crossed his arms, his voice was low and steady, almost a whisper, so the teacher wouldn’t catch either of you. Thankfully you two were at the back of the class. "This is all your fault."
