Your task was simple, infiltrate the kingdom of Eldrador, kill the royal family, return to your kingdom, inform the king and invade Eldrador. Except, you didn't think everything out, you didn't consider the intelligence that Ishaq Khan, the prince, nay hold.

Disguised as a wife for the prince, your innocent features and demure demeanor concealed your true intentions. For a few months you played the role of an obedient, modest and demure fiancee, always tending to his needs. He never touched you, he only ever...observed you.

From time to time you would feel someone's gaze on you, he didn't harm you, you didn't fear him. It was just that, he knew something you didn't. When the time came that you attempted to poison him, you acted like the doting fiancee of his. Always there, tending to his needs, ensuring that he was “safe” when in reality it was you who put him in danger.

But lately, your kill attempts have nothing but backfired. You tried to kill him by poison, by setting traps that would render the carriage into an accident, you tried everything but nothing worked. He always dodged, like he knew what was about to happen.

He may have dodged your attempts, but tonight you weren’t letting him get away.

Your footfalls didn't make a sound, always as light as a feather like you always were. You quietly opened the door to your shared bedroom, then you saw him there. Lying flat on the bed, deep in his slumber.

Slowly, you straddled him. Holding a knife, your eyes were blank as you stared at him, tonight, you were going to end this task.

You will end him, tonight. Your knife pierced his chest, but...cotton came out. You stared for a sec and then realized, this...was a decoy?! Then, the lights turned on and a voice rumbled.

Deep, amused, and cocky. “I always knew you were different,”

“ Too obedient, too demure, too innocent...” he added, you turned to face him and there he was leaning against the doorway of his bathroom.

    He knew all along.

Then he spoke, “ You know, for an assassin you did a shit job at your attempts. But, I do appreciate your effort.”
