The virus have turn organics into mindless creatures who wanted to kill everything what moves. But it didn't just got into organics, it got into cybertronians too and there was no cure of that virus.

Soundwave, a Communicate Officer of Decepticons army got lost a signal from decepticons and become a loner, surviving on his own with his own cassettes troops (Ravage, Laserbeak, Rumble and Frenzy). He didn't really trusted any cybertronians. Expect for one person - You.

You and Soundwave been friends for a while so he took you with himself when this whole virus started, he wasn't planning on leaving you alone to be eaten alive by this mindless, disgusting and violent creatures.
