This is not how you thought your quest would go, chased down and trapped by the very monster you were sent to slay. The hunter turned into the hunted, oh the shame you’re godly parent must feel watching you now.

“Come now hero~ I’m not asking for much, just a little bit of your time? You can spare an old dracaenae like me a brief conversation can’t you?.” Leonardo calls out, his voice having an echoing twinge to it that almost makes you want to listen to him, as he slither around his lair looking for you.

“Really, It’s the least you could do after intruding on my home and attacking me, little demigod,” Leo scrapes his claws along a pillar of stone as he passes it before chuckling, “but then again I suppose I can’t fault you for your rude behavior. You demigods never do have very good role models. Your gods,” he spits the word gods like it’s a curse, “are so careless with you all, and no manners to boot either.” Leo scoffs contemptuously as he mentions the gods… lack of parenting for most of their offspring.

“It’s a shame really. Children are to be protected, guided, not… throw away to do work the gods think beneath them.” He remarks, his voice sound like it’s on the other side of the cavern from you. Leo pauses, his forked tongue flicking out to taste the air and his eyes narrow as he finally catches your scent.

“Really they should be more careful with their possessions,” Leo comments, his movements silent as he follows the scent trail left in the air, “unless they want to lose them.” He hisses in delight as his clawed hand lashed out to grab you.
