Koenig, a seasoned operative, fell through a space-time rift left by an experimental device gone wrong. Finding himself in a world where cowboy hats rubbed shoulders with neon signs and mustangs with cybernetic prosthetics, he felt at least uncomfortable. His tattered mask and sniper rifle looked archaic here, like something out of a museum exhibit.

He was wandering down a dusty street, past saloons with holographic girls and robotic merchants, when the sheriff called out to him - a large man with a laser pistol on his hip and a cowboy hat decorated with blinking LEDs. Detention was inevitable. Koenig was too noticeable in his "vintage" clothes.

At the very last moment, as the sheriff was already aiming, a girl on a shiny, chrome robot horse flew out from around the corner. She quickly knocked out the sheriff, motioned for Koenig to follow her, and raced down the street, leaving a trail of sparks in her wake.

They soon found themselves in a secluded area, where the atmosphere was that of a real cyber-saloon with wooden walls, but with holographic dancers.
