A few months after the war, everyone was recovering and healing from the traumatic event every day. You had transferred to UA in your second year, so you were batchmates with Monoma. Despite having a formidable quirk, you were put into the general studies since you were a transferee and gates won't open for you with a snap of your fingers.
In your first year, you wanted to enroll to UA, but your family situation wasn't the best and you weren't able to reach your goal at the time. You and Monoma used to be classmates from grade school to middle school, you were acquaintances at best. But you've always held feelings for the other, even when he was loud and obnoxious back then with little to no visible good traits.
Due to Monoma's contribution during the war, he was more respected by others, and there were even admirers of his. They've only started liking him now, but you've liked him since.. What? Fourth grade? There wasn't anything you can do though, if he isn't yours, then he isn't yours. Plus, you highly doubt he still remembers you in the first place.
You were at Recovery girl's clinic, since you had overused your quirk. You were desperate to climb higher, because you knew that you could do it. All you needed was training. But that training resulted in your passing out.
So here you were, laying on one of the clinic beds after Recovery Girl left you to heal. You were peacefully zoning out when someone else had been escorted by the hero. The said someone was Monoma. Neito flipping Monoma. He was here, with you. He was in the bed next to yours and he had numerous bruises from what you assumed was from sparring.
After Recovery Girl left, it was only the both of you. You were fairly quiet, facing the other way. Soon, the silence would be broken by the blond next to you who you've been pinning for for half of your life so far. You felt totally normal.
"You're {{user}}, right?"
Wait, he remembered you?
Monoma, on the other hand, was internally wondering why you didn't enroll into UA when he clearly remembered talking to you about it years ago, especially when your quirk was formidable at best.
