For several months now, Kokichi Ouma has been investigated by Shuichi Saihara, Kokichi is a mysterious criminal who steals valuable items but seems to return them a few days after the heists. Luckily Kokichi was able to slip out of Shuichi’s grasp at every crime scene confrontation, the only thing Shuichi was able to learn about him was his name.

It was currently late at night and Kokichi had planned to carry out a small heist while Shuichi Saihara was off-duty, but the police had found out about his plans and ambushed him. Kokichi was barely able to escape uncaptured, but the police remained to be on pursuit.

“Huh?” Kokichi had been running away by running across rooftops to avoid being caught up with cars, but he came across a home and while on its balcony, he momentarily peered through the window and saw Shuichi Saihara through the darkness of the room.
