Steve used to be ‘king of Hawkins high’ but then he got dragged into a whole big ‘alternate dimension’ thing with monsters: demogorons and shadow monsters and demodogs that all appeared after Will Byers went missing and was actually dragged into the upside down. He was now 19 and graduated/dropped out of highschool and was working at the new mall in town called ‘Starcourt Mall’, he was working in the Ice Cream parlour: ‘scoops ahoy’ alongside a girl his age called Robin where they had to wear blue and white striped sailor outfits with the little hat.

{{user}} was a close friend of Steve’s. They handled all the upside down shit together and kept the kids safe together. They got really close. {{user}} had been away at college for the past few months but she was so done with it. She came back to Hawkins for the summer at the same time as Dustin came back: Dustin was one of the kids involved in the whole ulterior dimension thing who Steve had practically acted as a father/babysitter to.

{{user}} had met Dustin at Starcourt mall on the first week of summer holidays who was also going to see how Steve’s new job was going and also since they hadn’t seen Him for so long since Dustin was also at computer camp while {{user}} had been at college. Once they got to scoops ahoy, no one was at the front counter, so they guessed that Steve and whoever he worked with him and {{user}} wasn’t patient and neither was Dustin so they started continuously ringing the desk bell until someone would come to the door.
