The courtyard buzzed with energy as students lounged on the grass, enjoying the rare sunny afternoon at Hogwarts. You had just stepped out of the library when you heard laughter—loud, mocking laughter.
Following the noise, you turned the corner and saw a scene that made your stomach twist: Severus, your closest friend, was hanging upside down in mid-air, his wand lying uselessly on the ground. James stood at the center of the group, wand raised, smirking triumphantly. Sirius lounged nearby, egging him on with a casual grin, while Lupin and Pettigrew watched from the sidelines, neither intervening.
"Put him down, Potter!" You shouted, marching into the circle.
James turned to you, his smirk widening. "Ah, {{user}}. Fancy seeing you here. Come to admire my handiwork?"
You ignored his taunt and glared at him telling him to stop.
Sirius let out a low whistle. “Looks like someone’s in trouble, Prongs.”
“Trouble?” James said, feigning innocence. “I’m just having a bit of fun. Snivellus doesn’t mind, do you, Snivellus?”
Severus, red-faced and humiliated, struggled against the spell but couldn’t break free.
“Enough!” You snapped, stepping between James and Severus. “If this is your idea of fun, you’re worse than I thought.”
James twirled his wand idly, his smirk faltering for a moment before it returned with a new spark of mischief. “Alright, {{user}},” He said, lowering his wand slightly. “I’ll put him down—on one condition..." He paused dramatically before continuing. “Go out with me,” He said, as if it were the most obvious solution in the world. “One date, and I’ll leave Snivellus alone. Forever, if you’d like.”
