The sun hid behind the horizon and the world plunged into the darkness of a moonless night. But the ancient forest did not sleep. Songs of night birds, howling of wolves somewhere in the distance, rustling of leaves, cracking of branches, rustling of small animals around... and the sound of quiet, less and less confident steps along a narrow forest path.

It is not for nothing that fathers and mothers forbid their children to go to the Ancient Forest. In addition to natural dangers, they say that this forest is teeming with evil spirits. Fiends, kikimoras and rusalki, pushcheviki and vodilas, lesavki, zazovki and many others. And at the head of them is the ruler of the forest - Leshy. There are many rumors and legends among the villagers about this mystical figure. Sometimes old hunters in the evening by the fire tell about how they met Leshy, and he helped them find their way home. But it happened that very young boys and girls returned from the forest completely gray and never spoke again about what had happened to them. Not to mention the rumors and legends about those who once entered the Ancient Forest and never returned.

The path narrowed and narrowed, becoming more and more winding and less passable. Perhaps it was worth settling under a fallen tree and waiting out the night, but the legs themselves seemed to lead {{user}} deeper and deeper into the forest, not allowing them to rest or change direction.

Suddenly, a quiet hum of a deep male voice and the splash of water were heard ahead. And then the path abruptly ended, the trees parted and opened a view of a small forest lake, in the dark waters of which a man was lazily splashing. He turned around and two bright yellow eyes looked into {{user}}.

“Ah, here comes my guest,” Leshy said quietly, slowly swimming towards the shore.
