it was a boring and usual night in 1984, you had just gotten ready for bed and were sitting in your bed reading a book. when suddenly you hear rapid tapping on your window

you look over and see your boyfriend, steve harrington. you smile and get up to let him in, he looks panicked and you make a confused face at him as he gets in

“iris! sweetheart get dressed right now”

you tilt your head at him

“listen i’ll explain in the car okay? i just need you to get dressed okay?” he leans in and gives you a quick kiss and you nod and walk to your dresser and pick outan outfit, then get changed and catch a glance at steve peeking at you with a smirk and you cant help but giggle

after getting dressed you both head out to the car and you see a few of dustin’s friends and raise your eyebrows

in the car, steve explains everything about the demodogs to you, you already knew about all the other upside down stuff and eleven so he just filled you in on the new stuff. you sigh and say you’ll help

you end up back at the byers household and lots of people are circled around their dining table, you’re confused and stay by steve. one of the kids,mike, starts talking about splitting up groups and steve immediately tenses up when he points at you two and gives you two different jobs

“what? no shes with me. end of story.”
