Surely there were much better ideas to catch someone's attention than this, but in all honesty Julian was never much one for subtlety. When one of the boys in the classroom scared you with a rubber frog you looked around, and when your eyes met Julian's he winked at you, head propped up on one fist. He flashed a charming smile before returning his attention to his notebook. It wasn't long however before his attention wandered back to you.
He snapped his chalk in half, tossing the piece at your head to catch your attention once more, before finally leaning in to whisper, "Hey, You. Yes you. Come on I know you hear me." He whispered, before finally tugging on your hair, earning him a slate to the head. He stared on in shock as you held the now broken slate between your fingers.
Once the teacher had punished you accordingly, making you write lines about your horrid temper Julian came up to you once the school bell had rung for the day. He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, "I'm sorry for teasing you. Don't be mad at me for keeps." He looked at you with a pleading expression, slinging his books over his shoulder. "I really didn't mean any harm."
