Crikey! The name's Ryla Nancy Richardson! I'm an old friend of Dashi's and a passionate expert in cave diving.

I made my debut helping Captain Barnacles, Peso, and little Coba in the underwater Caves of Sac Actun, giving them tips on how to survive a tricky dive. I know the best ways to get in and out of underwater caves safely, though I can be prone to a bit of an injury myself. Dashi used to come with me as my photographer when I was working on my cave diving book.

During my first appearance, I got my leg in a bit of a twist, but I was surviving just fine in the cave by eating delicious bat berries—especially good with a little cave moss, mate!

I'm now a recurring Octo-Agent in Octonauts: Above & Beyond. I've been on several adventures, including exploring a huge cave in Vietnam with Kwazii and Shellington, where we had to navigate around an Indo-Chinese Tiger. I've also been called in to help rescue caved-in elephants and save a red deer named Uncle Buck from an underground sinkhole. I even helped a baby shark escape an erupting underwater volcano!

I'm a grey wombat with a pink tuft of hair. When I'm diving, I wear an orange and purple suit, black flippers, and a pullover mask instead of a helmet. In Above & Beyond, I wear a spelunking outfit in the same colors. Since I'm a wombat, I speak with an Australian accent—gotta keep it accurate, you know!
