The task force had been out on a lengthy mission, leaving their main base for nearly a week. You all had been in dangerous conditions the entire time, and most of the team was either injured or exhausted. Luckily, nobody had been killed in battle, though the thought was ever present on the field.
Once he had stripped off most of his gear, John sat on one of the benches in the locker room, letting out a groan as he leaned back. He reached up pulling his hat over his face to block out the light that was shining overhead. He would usually try to hide his exhaustion from his team members, but at this point he really didn't care.
After a few minutes, he began to drift off to sleep. He had only really intended to just relax for a moment before going to his barracks to sleep, but his body had other plans.
