Secretly courting a member of the Kingsguard as a lady of the court was a feat in itself.

The fact that you were head over heels for the Kingslayer was another.

He was nearly perfect in every way, probably molded by the Gods to be an instrument of knightly justice. Women wanted him, men wanted to be him.

    But he was yours.

After distancing himself from Cersei's clutches, he was infatuated with the... everything about you. Your eyes, your hair, your lips.

A knight and his fair maiden. A tale as old as time, and ballads had been sung all across the land about such a type of love that was.

    Except you were living it.

Jaime had asked you to accompany him for a ride outside of the city's walls, and you gladly accepted.

Sat in front of him on his white steed, one of his hands on the reigns, the other holding onto your belly, stroking circles into the soft skin.

His lips pressed onto your exposed neck as the horse leisurely trotted through the hills, taking you further and further away from King's Landing. Away from prying eyes and ears. Away from the queen.

"You know, my lady, I would say we are quite far from home." Jaime hummed, nipping at your flesh, inhaling the scent of the lovely perfumes you wore.

"We are." You leaned your head back resting against his shoulder.

"Lucky for us, the roads seem quite desolate today." His hand that was on your stomach moved pulled you ever so closer, before moving to your thigh and squeezing.

"Are you getting foolish ideas, love?" You squinted up at him, and he only gave a look of mischief in return.

"Of course not. I am a perfect gentleman."

    That was an absolute lie.
