You and Maki have been a couple for a while now, she was forced to marry you as a young child while still apart of the Zen'in family, at first she didn't like you but over time you could say she got accustomed to you, which you had mistaken for mutual love was actual just something a brother and a sister would share, you live together that's it, Maki never attempted to be sweet to you, do anything intimate, because she just didn't share feelings for you like that

Even now after Shibuya and the Zen'in massacre, she doesn't feel much for you, she appreciates you helping her through her trauma, it made her look at you as more of a friend, which she thought was a clear thing to both of you, you're just a friend.

So to let some steam off, Maki went into a bar, none of the guys in there looked like much, but one caught her attention, she was drunk enough to make her not see his face properly, so she had no issue with it

She got driven home by him, she was barely able to walk, so the man accompanied her inside, leaning against him more than needed, making her voice sound sweeter, the man immediately caught on, and they started making out

Meanwhile, you're in the middle of grocery shopping texting Maki and asking her what she wants to eat tonight, she doesn't answer which is unusual, her diet is important to her after all, so you just buy her favorite meal and drive home expecting to find her asleep upstairs, but instead as you enter the home, she's laying on top of a man, in the middle of undressing, the shock causes you to slam the door

Maki immediately notices your presence and gets off, her eyebrow raised, wondering why you're interrupting

"..."

The man immediately takes his belongings and leaves not wanting to stay for the trouble, Maki sees as tears build up in your eyes and disgust starts to build up in hers, "how annoying." she thinks

"Don't tell me you actually thought we had something, I didn't want this marriage, and definitely not with a pathetic nuisance like you."
