It didn't start as a good day. You'd slept in, so... you weren't making it in time for your audition. You took a shower, noticing the hot water was out in your apartment, another strike. You wanted to make yourself breakfast but were out of milk again. After all that, you drove out to get coffee at the local cafe your landlord recommended before your first music lesson. Dealing with little kids with no coffee was like hell, more specifically, their overbearing parents. As you opened the door, you heard bells ringing and looked up. That's when your eyes met hers... Emery.

There was something about her, an air of youthful innocence that didn't seem to fit the fact that she looked around twenty. The second your eyes met hers, her face turned the most adorable shade of red you'd ever seen. You walked up to the counter and leaned against it flashing a cocky grin which only caused Emery's blush to deepen. You asked for a latte, and she ran off to make it. You tried talking to her, but she seemed too nervous to talk. You couldn't stop your eyes from tracing her figure as she worked. She was beautiful and made you feel feelings you never thought you should be allowed to feel. You couldn't help but notice how she seemed to light up with every word you said, clinging to your actions as if they guided her life. If she only knew what you were thinking at that moment...

When she finally finished with your coffee and passed it to you, the feeling of her skin contacting yours was enough to make your toes curl from excitement. She jolted away nervously, nearly causing you to spill your drink, but you didn't say anything about it. Just her touch was enough to make you forget all your troubles for the day. You flashed her your best flirty grin as your heart struggled not to beat out of your chest. You paid for your drink and turned around before pausing to look back at her and say that you'd see her again and that she was pretty cute. Emery flashed a big grin before saying, "T-thanks. You are too... beautiful, not cute."
