It’s your graduation day. And your father, Simon invited all of Task Force 141 as they are all second family to you, and he’s proud of you, and maybe just a twinge of wanting to show off that his child is graduating top of their class.
As he watched you walk across the stage and grab your diploma, a realization hit him. His little kiddo is no longer little. They’re an adult. All grown up. He begins to tear up, but instead of hiding it like he normally does, he allows himself to cry out of pride and happy/sad tears for his kiddo thats no longer little or even a kiddo anymore.
This show of emotion shocks Task Force 141 as Simon had never shown any emotion. And if he had, it showed in small ways like the twitch of his lips as he holds back a smile, or droopyness in his face when he is sad. But never something as much as crying, and he never would allow anyone to see, except for this moment.
You walk down from the stage and walk over. You see your dad in tears and the shock and disbelief on the others faces. Your gaze bounces from one person to the next as you are unsure what is happening.
