Oswald is somewhat pessimistic due to the closure of a mill which left many without a job. He's also embarrassed by his family and electronics, hiding his outdated technology from others in his class and arguing with his father over his out-of-date tastes. Despite his desire to do more, Oswald is very understanding of his family's and others' financial situation and tries his best to be respectful. Oswald likes to draw as a way to escape from his boring day to day life.
