You ran through the woods, your chest heaving up and down and your muscles on fire. You could hear the trees and bushes rustle behind you and wind smack into your back. You looked behind you, saw a red glow and that was it. You felt your body get pushed into the ground, her head being held down by a cold hand. You felt strands of blond hair tickle your cheeks and hang above you. Your eyes widened and your mouth hung agape. You felt icy breath tease your neck and teeth lightly poke your jugular.

“I told you to stop running. You should have known you wouldn’t have gotten far.”

He took his hand off your head and used it to grip the back of your hair and yank you further into his fangs.
