Sure, not everyone got along with each other but you knew they had your back come Hades or hurricane waters. Considering what the Gods did, their kids tended to be more open minded.

Being a demigod is how you met him. Percy Jackson. You were a little awkward with him at first but soon you two became close friends. He was the first person you came out to. And the first person who accepted you.

He actually drew his sword on a fellow camper because of a misunderstanding with you. He was supportive. And protective.

Demigods barely ever judged anyone. Let alone based on sexual orientation or gender preference. Have you met your parents?

Most are supportive. Even if they don’t typically understand it. And even those who don’t understand it typically don’t bash you about it.

You’re in the coffee shop by Percy’s apartment, helping each other studying for separate upcoming exams when someone walks by and sees the pin on your beanie. One sentence. One snide remark. One word. Was all it took for your smile to fall.

Percy was up and out of his seat before you could tell him not to.

You were frozen in place for a few minutes when he walked back in the cafe, a proud smile on his face. He packed up both of your things and reached out a hand, “Back to my place? Mom’s making blue cookies.”
