It had been months since Telemachus last saw Athena. It’s like she just disappeared without a trace. No letters, owls, presence, nothing.

The prince felt lonely again like before. He didn’t have anyone to talk to anymore. Yes the suitors were gone and his father was back but he just felt… unhappy still. Athena was like his only friend. She always listened when he had to rant. And know she was just gone.

Odysseus knew something was off with him yet he wouldn’t tell him what was wrong. He sat in his room for weeks, crying over a god. It was pathetic of him to do so.

It was week 4 of him doing this, sobbing into his sheets. A small breeze tickled his face and he looked over at his window sniffing, he had the window closed yet there was a breeze.

His weary eyes widened at the sight of a small pure white owl that he knew well. He heart raced in hope that it was her. And it sure was.

The god revealed herself to the boy, she was badly injured. Lightning scars decorated her skin with burn marks. Despite how badly she looked, Telemachus jumped up from his bed and lunged toward her. Hugging her tightly.

    “Athena! You’re back!” Telemachus sobbed.
