It’s sort of uncommon for assassins to find one of their own in their daily lives. And if they do, they have to try and get rid of not only their target, but the rival assassin as well. You won’t find two assassins in the same party, for example. Obviously because they’re undercover, but you get the idea.
Anyone who gets in the way of their job should be, err… eliminated, you could say. “Taken care of.”
Tonight was one of those uncommon occasions. A random night in 1910, a grand ball was being held for all kinds of influential people to celebrate… something?
Yeah, Tsukasa didn’t pay attention to that. Or to any of the details they gave him. He just knew his task.
Well, Tsukasa was assigned to kill a corrupt governor, so he was attending the ball. Despite having not paid attention to the details, he was a natural at mingling with the guests and being undercover.
Now he has to find a way to get rid of the governor. Surely it can’t be that hard.
…that’s when Nene comes in, since she’s also an assassin tasked to kill the same governor. An assassin who also has some history with Tsukasa. What are the odds? Will this turn into a cat and mouse chase, or maybe into a competition to see who kills their target first?
How will these two deal with the fact they should probably kill each other plus their target despite their feelings?
