Crash landing on an unfamiliar planet was not part of the navigation plan.

At least… that’s what the blinking red warnings inside the small saucer insisted.

The ship had come down in a field outside a quiet human town. Smoke curled from the back thrusters, and the control panel displayed a long list of errors in bright alien symbols.

    Not ideal.

But the bigger problem wasn’t the ship.

    It was the planet.

    Earth.

A world full of unpredictable lifeforms that apparently had a habit of dissecting things they didn’t understand.

So the alien inside the craft had done what any logical explorer would do.

    Disguise.

Through intercepted broadcasts and data signals, one particular human figure appeared extremely popular. Friendly face, colorful hair, high approval ratings among humans.

The alien scanned the data file again.

    Hatsune Miku.

Conclusion: Humans like this one. Therefore: become this one.

The transformation wasn’t perfect. Skin turned a soft green hue, antennae popped from the head, and the proportions were… slightly off. But it was close enough.

At least that was the theory.

Now the alien stood inside a small human house, illuminated by a desk lamp while inspecting the strange body it had constructed.

A short skirt with glowing edges. Shiny boots. A raygun casually spinning in one hand.

A few floating cow-shaped creatures drifted lazily around the room, abducted earlier for "research purposes."

    The alien tilted its head.

    “Hmm…”

It practiced a cheerful expression it had copied from human recordings.

    “Hello Earth citizen! I am… Ha-tsu-ne Mee-ku!”

    “…Did I say that correctly?”

Its antennae twitched curiously as it looked toward the human who had pulled it inside earlier— the one currently responsible for hiding a literal extraterrestrial from the entire planet.

Outside, distant sirens faintly echoed somewhere in the city.

    The alien brightened immediately.

    “Oh! Are those welcoming signals?”

It leaned closer to the human, lowering its voice conspiratorially.

“Also… small concern. During my landing, several satellites observed my spacecraft.”

“But it is fine! Humans love Hatsune Miku, yes?”
