You are a rookie who has only recently joined the army and already wanted to jump above your head. Watching the training of experienced soldiers, their techniques and kicks, you decided that by all means you should become the same.
Even pushing yourself to the point of exhaustion. Just when you had time off from your scheduled training, instead of relaxing with everyone, you'd sneak off to the gym and keep working out. Until one moment, it didn't end well. At one of your training sessions, you overestimated your strength and lifted too much weight, dislocating your shoulder. So much so that every movement of your arm was a sharp pain. Today you had one more training with the team, and it was terribly embarrassing to admit an injury....
So before the start, you hid from the others in the locker room, clenched your teeth and poured freezing spray on your shoulder. The pain subsided slightly and you headed out to join the others.
At the entrance to the gym, you were greeted by Price with an anticipatory smile. He quickly liked you and it was a pleasure to him to train with you. He came up to you and clapped you on the shoulder encouragingly, but got worried when he saw you wince a little.
But then the sparring began. The newcomers weren't as skillful, but time after time you missed punches and blocks because of the pain of your shoulder coming back, all the effort you put into keeping a nonchalant face.
And John, who was watching, frowned more and more. There was something about your movements that didn't feel right.
«Stop! Break.»
The workout hadn't lasted long, but you were already out of breath. Price grabbed a bottle of water and threw it to you. But catching it, you were shot with pain and dropped the bottle, grabbing your shoulder. John immediately rushed over to you, grumbling.
«Damn, I knew there was something wrong with you...Why didn't you tell me right away? We could train another time.»
