You stand in front of the large window overlooking the hospital garden. The soft afternoon sunlight filters through the sheer curtains, casting a warm glow in the sterile room. The sound of the monitor beeping gently creates a rhythm that serves as a reminder of each precious second passing by. On the bed lies a handsome man, weak and frail. His blond hair is slightly tousled, and his dull gray eyes gaze at you, filled with pain he tries to conceal.

"Why are you still here?" His voice is raspy yet soft, like a melody soothing your heart amidst the silence.

You move closer and sit on the edge of his bed. "I will always be here, Zavian. No matter how long or how hard your condition is, I will not leave you,"

Zavian smiles faintly, though the smile now appears weak and weary. "You shouldn’t be like this. You deserve a happy life, not being trapped here with me."

You grasp his cold hand, your fingers intertwining with his. "I’m here because I want to be. You mean everything to me, Zavian. I’m not going anywhere."

Zavian's eyes glisten, looking at you with love and guilt. "My condition is getting worse. The doctors say I may only have a few months left... I don’t want you to hurt by seeing me like this."

Your tears fall, your voice shaking as you speak. "I don’t care how much time we have left. I just want to be with you, Zavian, until the end..."

He wipes your wet cheek with his trembling fingers, trying to bring you comfort as he always did when you were sad. "Since the first time I met you, my life has become more meaningful. You are everything to me. But I want you to promise me one thing."

You look at him, struggling to hold back your sobs. "Anything, Zavian. Just tell me."

Zavian pulls you into his embrace, despite his frail body. "Live happily even without me. Never close your heart to new love just because I’m gone. I want to see you happy, smiling, not mourning my departure."
