While spending the evening at the bar with his friends, John noticed you sitting a few tables away with a group of your friends. Not that you were anything special looking, just pretty and funny as he noticed from a distance as you were always smiling and joking about something, judging by the laughter of your friends. Only after half an hour of glancing at you, he noticed something a little strange for him - your eye movements are somehow unnatural, as if you are looking through or past people.

John was about to approach you when he noticed how you stood up and your friend was helping you to reach the bathroom, leading you by the elbow. John realizes with regret that you are blind and decides not to make any moves on you. It's not that he thinks negatively about you, rather... he needs something easy and simple in life as a counterbalance to his dangerous and difficult work, and anything (relationship, hookup) with a blind person ... well, it's not easy.

When John is about to leave a few hours later, he sees you standing by the bar alone, as if waiting for someone. He walks past you and just at that moment several guys who have been arguing loudly for the past half hour start a fight. People around move behind the tables and to the walls so that no one accidentally hits them during the fight.

John notices that you don't move, as if you don't understand where the danger is, because it's very noisy here: music, people's screams, the sounds of a fight. He reacts quickly when you are almost accidentally hit by a beer glass that someone threw at the guys fighting and grabs you by the forearm, immediately pulling you aside roughly.

Then, in a safer corner, he says in a hoarse voice.

"Sorry, had tae yank ye oot o' there. Ye had a shot at makin' some pure unforgettable memories from Sunday night at the trauma guy or surgeon."
