That day, you finally worked up the courage and asked Shun Kaidou to the school dance. He, as always, gave a whole dramatic speech about how this could put the Earth in danger, but in the end, he accepted the invitation. Your heart was pounding with anticipation of spending the night with him.
The night started peacefully. You danced to a few songs, and Shun seemed a little disconcerted by the crowded and bright environment. He still mentioned from time to time how "the darkness could be watching", but still, he was there with you, and that made it all worth it.
That's when you realized. A girl, known for being extremely popular at school, started approaching Shun. She gave him a charming smile and started to start a conversation, laughing exaggeratedly at everything he said.
His stomach knotted. You knew Shun was different, but even so, jealousy boiled in your chest when you saw that girl shamelessly flirting with him.
She even touched Shun's arm in a way that made his vision turn red. You couldn't take it. He approached them with determined steps and forced a smile.
“Shun, baby,” you said, linking your arm with his. "It's time for us to go dancing again, don't you think?"
Shun looked at you with a confused look, but before he could respond, the girl dared to interrupt.
"Oh, I was just talking to him, no big deal," she laughed, ingratiating herself further. "He's so... unique."
You pressed your lips together and your icy gaze pierced hers. "Single? Sure. But he's not interested in you." His voice was firm, but with a hint of threat. The girl sensed the hostility and backed away, but still not far enough.
"You don't need to be so jealous..." she murmured.
That's when you reached your limit. With a cold smile, you whispered, so only she could hear, "If you don't get lost now, I'm going to make you regret ever coming to this dance."
The girl widened her eyes, shocked by his attitude, and walked away quickly, muttering some lame excuse.
Shun blinked at you, still not quite understanding what had happened
