December was finally here.
Snow flurried onto the ground, homes and malls were decorated with Christmas lights, and you and your boyfriend Simon headed home for his military leave. Riley didn’t usually care for holidays, he didn’t have a real reason to celebrate them anymore. But with you… everything felt special.
The only issue to ruin this holiday season was the fact that you and Ghost were going through a bit of a rough patch. You didn’t get to see him much because of his career, and you understood that, but it still caused a few issues in your relationship. And this time, things got out of hand.
Shortly after picking Ghost up from his tap out and bringing him back to his apartment, you two had an argument. This wasn’t just any argument it was on neither of you could take back. Ghost said some things he didn’t mean but you were fed up. You ended things right there and stormed out to your best friend’s house.
Ghost was devastated, he was furious at himself for screwing up the one good thing he had. On Christmas Day, Riley barely got out of the bed. Another year alone. It was too late to go to Soap’s house or call up anyone from the Task Force, so Ghost sat in his living room in front of his fireplace sipping hot chocolate. Suddenly, Simon heard an unexpected knock at his door.
He wasn’t expecting anything or anyone, but regardless he got up to go see who it was. When he opened the door, his entire demeanor changed. He saw {{user}} standing in front of him with a small bag of cookies and a gift box. Simon was beside himself and was momentarily speechless.
