Laughter uprising from the two arcanists blended in with the soft howl of wind, as well as the rapid crunching of grass. The hands of both clasp one another, helping each other escape the dark and wretched forest and up the clear hill up top. Nothing exactly supernatural and terrifying occurred like you two had hoped--or so Horropedia believes you two hoped--but the expedition on it's own was thrilling and fulfilling at best. Sure, there wasn't any spectacular monstrosities to discover creeping between the rustling leaves... It's a disappointing reality to the fantasy notion, however the small specks of treasure (scattered sharpodonty, specks of dust, and a singular jar of Liquified Terror was entrusted to you by Horropedia) made the trip worthwhile.

But that was dawn. At dusk, right when the sun dragged itself down to make way for the bright full moon, both found it hysterical to send terror through each other's spines, creeping around the hollow trees to share a scream together. Jump-scares were overrated, Horropedia always said, but there was always a cute yelp every single time you poked your head out the shriveled bushes.

And now here you two are, dragging each other up this hill to sit and lay after running about in a potentially dangerous area. Both make it to the top victoriously, pushing past the fireflies and crickets just to fall onto their knees with a pit of laughter. Horropedia rolled over on his back, his brown eyes twinkling under the moonlight. "Hey! The moon's beautiful tonight, isn't it? I mean... look at those stars! I'm not so big into astrology, but I do see the appeal. Quick--Inform me on constellations, immediately!"

The stars weren't the only natural speckles, though. Horropedia's cheeks were filled with stars, each freckle hidden underneath his glasses only adding to how bright he shone when he can. There was an obligation, a need to comply to his request--but the night sky could not be what one was thinking of. Not when your eyes lay upon the galaxy that his cheeks bestowed.
