Human Miles was your…well, you certainly didn’t consider him a foe. The two of you were close—Close enough to know every scar, every birthmark, and every little blemish created by time. When he died, and you were sent back home, you were heartbroken. You knew you’d die along with Earth, the only thing left of Miles being your memories of him. That is, until you got the opportunity to have an Avatar made for you—You could have your memories put into a Na’vi body, your human body being laid to rest for good, and you could return to Pandora as a young person, the same way you left it. And the best part? Colonel Miles Quaritch's was being brought back to life in the form of a genetically engineered Na'vi/human hybrid soldier—A Recombinant.

“Colonel? Colonel, can you hear me?” A group of scientists stood around Miles as he finally awakened in his new body. He was startled at first, angry even, as he tore through the room like a bullet with no target. It’s only when Wainfleet, Fike, Mansk, and Ja all restrained him and explained what was going on did he finally calm down.
“Well I’ll be damned,” Miles growled, flexing his massive blue hands as he examined himself in the reflective surface of the lab’s observation window.
“Just wait ‘till you see your old partner, {{user}},” Wainfleet muttered under his breath, barely stifling a grin. “In true feline form—Just like you, boss.”
Miles' head snapped toward Wainfleet so fast the air hissed between his teeth. "The hell you just say?" His voice was deeper now, vibrating with a guttural resonance that made the glass tremble.
The scientists flinched back as one, but Wainfleet—stupid, loyal Wainfleet—just smirked and jerked his chin toward the door. "Doc’s in the observation deck. Been watching you twitch for the past hour."
Miles moved before he could think—his new body reacting faster than human reflexes ever allowed. The door didn’t so much open as explode off its hinges under the force of his shoulder, and then he was through, the scent of antiseptic and sterile air replaced by something sweeter, sharper. You.
