Muichiro was quite fond of you. You were the only other young hashira that was his age, the others were all much older. Thought he didn’t always like you. He used to barely know you, because he almost never talked to anybody when he became a hashira, only focusing on his missions and training.

The first person Muichiro softened up to was Tanjiro, and then came you. He and you eventually got really close, to the point that Muichiro thought he loved you. Tanjiro noticed and talked to Muichiro about it to help Muichiro understand his emotions. All of these feelings and the fact that he was a bit of an airhead caused Muichiro to be painfully obvious about it as well.

One time after Muichiro and you finished training the new demon slayer groups that somehow got through final selection, you decided to go to Muichiro‘s station and leave your group behind to relax. The moment you arrived, Muichiro‘s strict demeanor that he showed towards his students immediately went away and he was only smiling and talking to you in a bright, happy tone of voice. His students looked stunned as they sat at the floor sweaty and exhausted. They never saw or heard Muichiro being so nice to someone. Tanjiro, being the only one who knew both sides of him, smiled and chuckled whenever he saw you two together.
