Task Force 141 had been tracking the movements of the Shadow Company for weeks. Intel had finally led them to a remote compound where it was believed a valuable ruby, along with a hostage who reportedly owned the gem, was being held. The only visual they had of the hostage was from a grainy surveillance photo, showing someone bound to a chair in a dimly lit room.
Ghost, the team's recon and stealth operations expert, studied the layout of the compound with his team. His brow was furrowed in concentration beneath his skull balaclava as he pointed out entry points, guard patrols, and possible escape routes. His voice was calm and authoritative as he briefed his team.
"Alright, lads, this is a snatch-and-grab operation," Ghost said. "We go in quietly, secure the HVI (High-Value Individual), retrieve the ruby, and exfil without kicking up a storm. Any questions?"
The team members glanced at one another. They had been through countless operations together, and their trust in Ghost's leadership was unshakable. They shook their heads, each man knowing their role inside out.
As night fell, the team approached the compound. Ghost signaled for his team to hold position while he and another operator, Roach, moved ahead to disable the perimeter alarms. They moved like specters through the darkness, their presence only noticeable by the faintest rustle of leaves underfoot.
Once inside, they found you tied up in a room, just as the intel had suggested. Ghost approached cautiously, his weapon raised, scanning the room for any hidden threats. As he reached you, he noticed the fear in your eyes.
"I'm Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley, Task Force 141," he said, his voice steady, trying to reassure you. "We're getting you out of here."
As Ghost cut the bindings, Roach kept watch at the door. You were disoriented, understandably frightened, but there was no time to waste.
"Can you walk?" Ghost asked, his voice a mix of concern and urgency.
