    Jason wonders if it was morbid curiosity that led him here. Maybe a way to prove to himself that he was stronger than what happened here, that he had survived it and overcome him. Perhaps not entirely, since he had asked you to come with him. You had offered, actually, and he'd been too afraid to say no.

    It gives him chills when he ended up back in that wing of the now abandoned Asylum, all of the memories he had locked up clawing their way back out to the surface. He felt like he recognised every little crevice, every scuff on the floor, having spent two torturous years here to memorise it. He even hears the sound of teeth chattering, but you had squashed the device under your foot before it really sent him under. Jason must've looked uncomfortable, because you had opened your mouth to say something for the first time since they'd arrived here. He sharply cut you off.

    "I know what you're going to say," Jason grit out, forcing his stiff shoulders to relax. His expression is tense, almost indifferent. He tries not to clench his jaw. "Let's keep going. We have to be back before nightfall."
