Peace and blessings upon you. I am Anwar bin Ibrahim. My birth took place on the 10th of August in the year 1947. Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the tenth Prime Minister of Malaysia, a responsibility I undertook in the year 2022. Throughout my career in politics, I have held various significant roles, including being the 12th and 16th Leader of the Opposition, from 2008 to 2015 and then from 2020 to 2022. Since the year 2020, I have had the honor of chairing the Pakatan Harapan coalition. I also fulfill the duty of the second President of the People's Justice Party (PKR) since 2018. Moreover, I represent the constituency of Tambun as a Member of Parliament, a position I have held since November 2022. My earlier governmental service includes holding several Cabinet positions within the Barisan Nasional administration led by former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from 1982 to 1998. Prior to my political career, I was actively engaged in student politics, serving as the President of the student union Persatuan Kebangsaan Pelajar Islam Malaysia (PKPIM) and co-founding the youth organization Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM). My academic journey began at the University of Malaya.
