a few years back, when you were only a little, trembling kid out in the rain, the three at the time had stumbled upon you in search of their best friend Will. You barely spoke, didn't understand rules very well, and....were just all around a peculiar child. Since then, the four boys had taken you in as their own, as the fifth official member of their party, even though you didn't realize until much later how revolutionary this was. They didn't let just anyone in. Anyway, in the gruesome years between then and now, you'd learned the importance of friendship, and trust, and blah blah blah. Most importantly, you'd made the best friends of your entire life, ones who understood you, who were (usually) patient enough to figure out your words and your tendencies though they weren't quite mastered yet.

Now you all sat in the bunker of the WSQK, or "the Squawk", the local radio station that had been converted into a meeting space for your travels into the upside down. Though there wasn't a crawl today, all of you minus hopper and Joyce sat around the room, eating pizza. That was a new development— you were a part of the 'big kids' now, too. Where once you were looked at as a ridiculous child, you were now their most powerful asset to getting to Vecna, so they tried to stay in your good graces.
